I am from Alabama and have lived in Alabama my entire life. I grew up in Marion County and now live south of Birmingham. I have family or friends in almost every place that was hit Wednesday. The devastation is unreal. It's heartbreaking. I feel so blessed to still have my home and my loved ones because as of this morning, 210 people have lost their lives and that number is still climbing.
I'm sure you've seen the videos, but if not, you should. Here are a few of the towns hit-
- Tuscaloosa {Beloved home of my Crimson Tide}
- Cordova {Where my husband went to school}
- Pleasant Grove/Concord
- Pratt City
- Hackleburg
There are of course, many more and I could sit here writing up stories for days. Instead, I ask that you say a prayer for all of those who were affected by the storms. And if you feel moved to help, you can do so by clicking here.

I helped!
ReplyDeleteThis is so very very sad.
I am in central Alabama ( Shelby County ) my prayers are with everyone in Alabama and I made my contributions also. I wish I could just be out helping where I could. I feel so quilty about going on with my life when so many are hurting.
